Store items NEVER have the kind of designs I want. Ever see them carry sweaters with an anatomically accurate skeletal structure design? Figures.
Handmade is all the rage! (well, in my reality, at least)
That *amazing* feeling of professional snobbery when you look at stuff in stores and think "I can make that myself!" =D Don't lie, I know you've been there!
In case of zombie apocalypse, you have a lot of pointy weapons in case of emergency close-range combat. Hey, don't mock it until you've stab a needle through the braaaainz of a hungry, undead monster!
OK, maybe zombie apocalypse isn't all that likely, but we're almost guaranteed to be safe from vampire attacks. I don't have to point out why, although whether you want to fight them off is your preference, of course.
Fine, supernatural attacks *may* not be the most likely things *grumblegrumble*, but people tend to think twice about mugging a harmless looking girl carrying pointy sticks.
Having people look at you weirdly when you wonder out loud while eating Chinese food. A pair of chopsticks, long, stringy noodles... Hmm.....
